Location : Taiwan's total land area is only about 36,000 square kilometers (14,400 square miles); it is shaped like a leaf that is narrow at both ends. It lies off the southeastern coast of mainland Asia, across the Taiwan Strait from Mainland China-- a solitary island on the western edge of the Pacific Ocean. To the north lies Japan; to the south is the Philippines. Many airlines fly to Taiwan, helping make it the perfect travel destination.

Climate : If you are from a high-latitude country, you can leave your winter coat behind when coming to Taiwan and indulge in the pleasant warmth of the sun. If you'd rather experience the carefree sensation of healthy beads of sweat running down your forehead, then you should visit the beach at Kending in southern Taiwan where it is summer all year round. Don't worry too much about getting burnt by the dazzling sun; the island of Taiwan is located in the subtropical climate zone, and the sun is not as stinging hot as it seems bright. Furthermore, the island is surrounded by oceans; and the ocean breezes, which are the reason for Taiwan's humid weather, will surely make you completely forget the dry cold back home Voltage and drinking water : The voltage used in Taiwan is 110 V., 60 Hz. However, most of hotels are equipped with 110 / 220 V sockets. It is recommended to drink bottled water instead of tap water. Bottled water could be found in most of 7- Eleven stores and supermarkets

Currency : The local currency in Taiwan is "New Taiwan Dollars" (NT$).

Tips : It is suggested to tip hotel porter US$ 1 per suitcase for carrying luggage, US$ 1 per day for hotel room-maids, US$ 3 per day for tour guide, and US$2 per day for driver

Others : It is safe to travel in Taiwan. However, it is still suggested not to be out alone, and carry our phone numbers ( 24 hours ) and the mobile phone number of the local guide's for emergency. Please prepare one's own medicine, sun tan lotion and others

 DAY 1: ARRIVAL TAIPEI

To be greeted by English speaking guide upon arrival and transferred to Taipei to check in hotel and rest. If time permits, we will visit Presidential Square, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and Taipei 101 skyscraper (incl. admission to the observatory) and shopping mall Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2: TAIPEI / SUN MOON LAKE + NATURAL HOT SPRING (B)

To be picked up at lobby of hotel in Taipei City, we will drive to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Holy Monk Shrine and Tse En Pagoda. After touring round Sun Moon Lake, check in hotel. Enjoy natural hot spring at the Fleur de Chine Hotel, Sun Moon Lake. You can also enjoy the walking trails, biking, hiking or boating at the lake. DAY 3: SUN MOON LAKE / FOGUANGSHAN MONASTERY / KAOHSIUNG (B) 

Breakfast at hotel with a pleasant morning leisure at hotel on your own until 10 AM. Check out hotel, passing by the lovely small and old Jiji Railway Station, drive to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the most famous Buddhist sacred place of southern Taiwan. Here you will learn about Buddhism during the monastery walking tour to visit “Buddha Memorial Center” and communicate with some of the monks, nuns during the visit, there will be opportunity to taste Buddhist vegetarian lunch (at your own cost). Continuously, we will drive to Kaohsiung City, which is the second largest city of Taiwan. The tour will take you to Love River and Liouho Night Market. Overnight stay at Kaohsiung. DAY 4: KAOHSIUNG / KENTING / CHIHPEN HOT SPRINGS (B)

Morning tour to Kenting National Park, located at Taiwan’s southern tip and the 37 miles of coral-rimmed shoreline along three sides of the park provide its main attractions. Stops will be made at Oluanpi light house, Maopitou coastal scenic area and Longpan Park. Continuously we will drive to Taitung via Southern Link Highway. Overnight stay at Chihpen. Enjoy natural hot spring at Hotel Royal Chihpen Hotel: Hotel Royal Chihpen, Taitung (5*) or similar

DAY 5: TAITUNG / EAST COAST NATIONAL SCENIC AREA / HUALIEN (B )

After breakfast, it will be an exciting East Coast Tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area, known as "Taiwan's last unspoiled land", stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here. Our tour will stop at Siaoyeliu, Sansientai, Shihtiping (Stone Steps), marble factory and showroom. Late afternoon, we will proceed to Hualien for overnight stay at Taroko National Park. Hotel: Silks Place Taroko (5*) or similar

DAY 6: HUALIEN / TAROKO GORGE / TAIPEI  (B)

After breakfast, we will make a visit to Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is an exceptional beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu river which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Tse Mu Bridge, stops will be made at Swallow Grotto, Changchun Temple and Shakadang Trail. We will then drive back to Taipei with a stop at Cingshui Cliff, drive through Syue-Shan Long Tunnel (12.9 Kms) to arrive at around 6 PM.
